Depression is difficult to explain. For years I could not put words to what I was feeling. I only knew that I was not myself anymore. Looking back, I realise the hardest part was not just the sadness, but the loss of belief in myself and my future. That hopelessness is what truly defined it for me. It took patience, time, and the love of people around me to slowly find my way back. I know how fortunate I am to have had that support. I am sharing this because I know many go through depression quietly, often without others realising. If you are one of them, please know you are not alone. There is hope, and with support, healing is possible. If this helps even one person feel less alone, then it is worth sharing.
