I used to think perfectionism meant I cared deeply about the work. Sometimes it did. But a lot of the time, it meant I was so scared of doing badly that I didn’t start at all. The Solid B mindset helped me because it gave me a smaller doorway. I didn’t have to make something great. I just had to make something good enough to exist. And once it existed, I could improve it. Maybe the first step is not to lower your dreams. Maybe it is to lower the pressure enough that you can finally begin.
