Building Communities Together

One of the biggest problems with the world of smartphones is loneliness. The loneliness epidemic is a hard and tough battle. I know this because time and time again I have been in situations where I have been terribly lonely and felt isolated. People were there online…but there wasn’t much interaction. It became hard for me to share about my life, so much so that issues that could’ve been handled easily and quickly? They took way longer to be resolved. I wish back then I had understood the need for vulnerability and community. Communities do more than just provide people to spend good times with. There’s wisdom in each other’s knowledge that can be channeled. But that only happens when we build such communities. I’ve met some fantastic people who have done so, and so I am going to be doing my small portion as well. I will be hosting an art community on Sunday.
