Boring to fun

ll of us have to do some or the other boring task every single day. It could be organising, doing the dishes, laundry, taxes…the list goes on because a lot of tasks aren’t designed to be fun or entertaining! But what if YOU made them fun? What if you added an extra layer of fun on top of the task specifically designed to keep you engaged? Maybe you can time yourself doing the dishes and train yourself to become the fastest dish washer in your house or apartment (preparing for the dish washing olympics in the process!) Or you could just give yourself a treat at the end of the task. I used to treat every laundry day like a leg day while hauling my clothes bag for 10 minutes to the Laundromat in Brooklyn. The reframe made me feel like I was preparing for something epic, like a great Himalayan trek where I would be expected to lug that much weight up the mountain.
