One of the things that really helped me feel at ease with my behaviours was understanding where they come from in the first place.
Our habits are shaped by those around us and the situations we happen to be in life.

The reason is to make our life easier in navigating the waters we are in.
But those habits can calcify over time and come to define us. Sometimes we don’t need those habits anymore, yet we still do them over and over.

Changing habits is tough. The first part is really learning and observing ourselves. Once we understand how we behave or react in different situations then we can practice new behaviours. Respond rather than react.

It’s slow work. But it is important work. Slow changes made every day, different choices made every day, will lead you to become a different you. A you who you want to be.
